The Role: Event Catering Cook/Server

Part-Time: Weekends & Bank Holidays
(with potential to expand into a fuller role as our business grows).

As a new, lean business, we are looking for someone with hospitality or event catering experience to hit the ground running on the frontline with us. This is a dynamic, all-hands-on-deck role where you’ll be doing a bit of everything—from line cooking to front-of-house service.
You’ll be serving primarily from our eye-catching street food gazebo, dishing out everything from authentic, slow-cooked Tacos and Tequila pairings to stunning, high-end buffet spreads.

A Day in the Life:

  • The Setup: Getting hands-on with the build and breakdown of our vibrant street food gazebo.
  • The Cook: Executing our menu to a flawlessly high standard—prepping, cooking, and plating mouthwatering Mexican street food.
  • The Pour: Shaking up top-tier Margarita cocktails for thirsty guests.
  • The Vibe: Being the face of Mexicorn. You’ll be taking orders, answering questions, and bringing the energy that helps put our new brand on the map.

The Non-Negotiables (What We Need From You):

  • Age 18+: We serve alcohol, so this is a legal must.
  • On the Move: You must hold a valid driver’s license and have a reliable car. You’ll be traveling to epic events across Kent, East Sussex, and occasionally London. (Our prep kitchen is based in Folkestone).
  • Safe & Certified: Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate. We cater heavily to coeliacs and those with allergies, so strict attention to detail regarding cross-contamination is absolutely critical.
  • The Mindset: You need to be punctual, hardworking, ready for a physically demanding job, and possess elite communication skills—both with the crew and the crowd.
